ABOUT
JANSSENN PERFORMANCE HORSES

About Janssen Performance Horses:
Bob Janssen, along with his wife, Anita, and their son, Ryan, own and operate Janssen Performance Horses. Bob brings more than 20 years of experience to his training program, and has career earnings in excess of $110,000. He started his career training and showing nationally and regionally successful reining competitors, including the 1999 NRHA Ltd. Open Champion, Smart Chicaway. Smart Chicaway's athleticism and incredible mind lent himself to versatility, leading Bob into the working cow horse, then cutting disciplines with this talented stud. With early success under his belt, Bob hasn't looked back, and was recently (June 2008 & 2009) recognized by EquiStat's rankings as the #2 leading rider for combined reining and cutting earning. His foray into cattle events turned into a passionate pursuit, with cutting now the primary focus of the Janssen Performance Horses program. His reining and working cow horse backgrounds continue to serve him well, and Bob remains competitive in the NRHA and NRCHA arenas. He also coaches clients to success in all three disciplines. His unique versatility gives clients several options for pursuit with their training prospects. Dedicated to his family and an avid outdoorsman, when he's not in the cutting pen, Bob can be found coaching Ryan's athletic teams, fishing or in pursuit of ringnecks and whitetails. Bob has recently been featured on KSTP and FOX9 news programs.
